New waste collection system
Learn how smart bins work in Benissa
What is a smart bin?
A smart bin is a unit with a controlled opening mechanism. To deposit certain fractions, you need to identify yourself with a card or with your phone (app). This prevents improper dumping and helps improve recycling quality. It also makes it possible to apply rebates on the waste fee to those who do it correctly, under the concept of "the more you recycle, the less you pay".
Which fractions use this system
In Benissa, access applies to the organic (brown) and residual (grey) fractions. The other fractions will remain as before (glass, paper-cardboard, packaging, domestic oil mainly).
